Modernization of the Saint-Barthélémy-D’Anjou sorting center

The modernization of the Saint-Barthélemy-d’Anjou sorting centre, carried out by SPL Anjou Tri Valor, SIVERT de l’Est Anjou, Angers Loire Métropole, Vauché and DERICHEBOURG Environnement, is part of a call for projects launched by Citeo aimed at improving the performance of selective collection sorting centres; this project aims to strengthen the recovery of recyclable materials while reducing sorting rejections, with a restart of the site carried out within the planned timeframe after the works in order to ensure continuity of operation.

Technical improvements to optimize sorting

Several improvements have been implemented at the sorting center :

  • addition of a mini trommel to limit the loss of valuable materials ;
  • installation of an air separator to improve the recovery of plastic films ;
  • Implementation of a dynamic storage system dedicated to the rigid development flow.

Thanks to this equipment, the site improves its sorting performance and meets the growing challenges of material recovery.

An approach focused on environmental performance

This modernization of the Saint-Barthélemy-d’Anjou sorting center helps improve the quality of recycling and optimize the management of recyclable waste. It also supports the region’s environmental objectives and changes in sorting guidelines.
