Laying the first stone of the future VALORYS sorting plant.

On June 30th, Jean Yves MENOU, SMITRED president and Eric Brac de la Perrière, eco-emballage president layed the foundations of the new SMITRED sorting unit.

Operational on spring 2012, this new recycling unit will sort with one common process waste coming from selective collections. This plant is a 10 million euros investment and reach Mr MENOU first goal which is to provide better working conditions to its employes

Mr Brac de la Perrière, specified that 75% of packing will be recycled (according to the eco-emballage society recommandations). The Smitred signed the eco-emballage contract and so committed to respect this recommandations during the next 6 years.

The day continued with  the SMITRED summer event launch. The second edition of this activity try to encourage tourists and people to sort their waste and so to recycle efficiently.
